We believe that good design should be easy to embrace.

Past & future
The '50s
INGA is the acronym for Industria Nazionale Gessi e Affini and was founded in the early 1950s by our family, the Sgambaro family.
Our company was one of the four Italian companies producing blackboard chalk, at the time an indispensable tool for the education and entertainment of thousands of children and young people.
The '60s and '70s
Throughout the 1960s and ’70s, INGA added decorative furnishing elements to its production of blackboard chalk. INGA thus became one of the leading manufacturers of decorative plasterwork, such as ceiling roses, cornices, and mouldings for walls and ceilings, which became very fashionable at the time, requested and installed in homes as decorative elements.
The '80s
From the late 1980s, we decided to add a shop of home décor accessories to our workshop to convey our passion for beauty and art to customers.
In our shop, we carefully curate the display, where you can find ornaments and gift items, casts, bas-reliefs, columns, and bases for tables or consoles.
The '90s
Over the years, we have progressively abandoned mass production to devote ourselves exclusively to creating artistic objects that convey our passion for beauty, culture, and elegance. INGA has transformed into a true art workshop, where unique, refined, and customised plaster pieces are crafted for clients all over the world.
Today
Today, we work with private clients who wish to refine, restore, decorate, or furnish their homes with significant, high-quality, and prestigious installations. We also collaborate with designers, architects, stylists, event planners, and professionals in the furniture sector, such as furniture shops and showrooms, as well as those in design and fashion.
There are many types of materials available on the market, even cheaper than plaster, that can be used to make wall decorations.
We continue and will continue to offer you plaster as the only solution because, based on our long experience, we know it is the best material to decorate your spaces in terms of quality, beauty, and functionality.
Plaster is indeed an insulating material, it is ecological, and it remains unaltered over time.
Quality is our guide.
Personalised consultation
For each project, we provide a personalised consultation tailored to the client’s needs, during which we agree together on the best solution based on their tastes, the space, the type of environment, requirements, and style.
Each of our pieces is individually inspected and entirely hand-finished in our workshop.
