The bust of Costanza Bonarelli was sculpted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1600 and is now located in the National Museum of the Bargello in Florence. According to contemporary accounts, Costanza was Bernini's beloved for a period, and this statue represents a symbol of his love. It is the sculptor's only statue depicting an ordinary person, unlike his other works that portray the most important figures of the time, such as popes, nobles, and monarchs.
