Venus Anadiomene was discovered by an Italian archaeological mission in 1913 in Eastern Libya.

A beautiful marble sculpture lacking a head and arms, it is presumed to be a Roman reproduction of the goddess Aphrodite of Hellenistic origin.

Recently, it was returned to Libya.
